Aim To research the computer optimization design in material formu- lation. Methods The professional software including experimental design, mathe- matical modeling and optimization of single and multiple purposes was devel- oped and applied to the formulation design for the flame retardant ethylene- propylene-diene mischpolymer (EPDM) insulation composites. With the aid of equipartition design, the mathematical models were established based on the optimization of the four properties (limiting oxygen index, volume resistance, tensile strength and elongation).

We demonstrate highly efficient Alq_3-based p-i-n organic light-emitting diodes by using cesium carbonate (Cs_2CO_3)-doped 4'7-diphyenyl-1, 10-phenanthroline (Bphen) as an electron transport layer, and by using molybdenum trioxide (MoO3)-doped N, N'-diphenyl-N, N'-bis(1,1'-biphenyl)-4,4'-diamine (NPB) as a hole transport layer, which could significantly enhance the electron injection and transport, resulting in a large increase in luminance and efficiency. The maximum luminance, current efficiency and power efficiency reach 23 420 cd cm~(-2), 6.4 cd A~(-1) and 5.3 lm W~(-1), respectively, which are much higher than those of the referenced device (without doping). This improvement is attributed to the improved conductivity of the transport layers and the efficient charge balance in the emission zone.

The IC_50 of scopoletin for inhibiting PC_3, PAA, and Hela cell proliferation was(157±25),(154±51), and(294± 100)mg/L, respectively. Scopoletin induced a marked time-and concentration-dependent inhibition of PC_3 cell proliferation. Scopoletin reduced the protein content and decreased the ACP level in PC_3 cells in a concentration- dependent manner. Cells treated by scopoletin showed microscope, fluorescence microscope, and transmission electronmicroscope. Scopoletin inhibited PC_3 proliferation By inducing apoptosis of PC_3 cells.

Ti-Zr series Laves phase hydrogen storage alloys with good hydrogen storage properties, such as large hydrogen capacity, rapid hydrating and dehydrating rate, high compression ratio, gentle plateau, small hysteresis, easily being activated and long cyclic stability etc. for metal hydride compressor have been investigated. In addition, a hydride compressor with special characteristics, namely, advanced filling method, good heat transfer effect and reasonable structural design etc. has also been constructed. A hydride compressor cryogenic system has been assembled coupling the compressor with a J-T micro-throttling refrigeration device and its cooling capacity can reach 0.4 W at 25 K.
